Anderson Double Extension Turntable Cradle

Overview

This joint venture between Angloco and Anderson Fire and Rescue Products Ltd resulted in the perfect stowage solution for Station Officer Mike Webster and Sub Officer Tim Lanfear of Gloucester Fire and Rescue Service.

Technical

The design criteria provided by Gloucester Fire & Rescue Service indicated that we were required to produce a ‘cradle’ which would stow all the heavy cutting gear, keep the hoses connected and make it possible to operate the equipment without removing anything from the vehicle.

Advantages

Anderson’s innovative solution was to incorporate a turntable cradle within a heavy-duty sliding cradle.

• The first extension removes the cradle from the vehicle conventionally
• The second extension allows the turntable cradle to slide out to give a 180-degrees scope in which to extend the hydraulic hoses
